I have a friend who manages a self storage facility. It is about 75% full. Does anyone have any ideas about how to increase occupancy?
Get more customers.
Self Storage is a very profitable venture. I have used them. I would put flyers out at apartment complexes, run ads, offer the first month for only $1.00 with a minimum of 2-3 months.
Contact moving companies for leads, go to yard and garage sales, go to rent court in your area and get a list of people who are about to be evicted. Offer a moving truck to the facility at discount.
Offer a referral few to existing customers.
Go to local colleges, these kids always need a place to keep their stuff.
